Shloimy and Mia Hodges are the Av and Eim Bayit in Givat Shmuel. They share a passion for Israel, Jewish life, and building meaningful connections with students. They love hosting friends, sharing good conversations, and playing board games- with a collection large enough to keep game nights going well beyond Shabbat! They look forward to creating a warm, welcoming space where students can feel at home and build meaningful friendships. Shloimy grew up in London, England, and studied at Yeshivat Lev HaTorah before serving in the IDF. He continues to serve in the reserves and is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science and Communications at Bar-Ilan University. He loves keeping up with politics, current events, and sports of just about every kind. Mia grew up in New Jersey and holds a degree in Communications from Reichman University. She previously served as Director of Here Next Year, helping gap-year students explore their futures in Israel. She has also worked closely with young women pursuing Sherut Leumi. Mia is a huge coffee lover who enjoys baking, hosting, and bringing people together.
